The Western Civilization I CLEP test covers the material taught in the first semester of a two-semester course in Western Civilization at the college 101 level. This CLEP test covers the rise and fall of rulers and civilizations. You’ll revisit some figures from history such as Julius Caesar, Marcus Aurelius and Charlemagne. It also includes information on the Middle Ages; the Renaissance and Reformation as well as early modern Europe. You'll need to be able to read charts, graphs and tables. Important wars, political parties, religions and monarchies are also covered.
